Good point Clinton. Not all niches work the same way. Different audiences require different methods of communication.

Thanks Ben; I appreciate your feedback! Yeah, every business is unique. There's just no way around it. The advice of A-listers who are willing to share their insights is valuable and worthy of our attention to be sure, but taking without context is a mistake.

Good point on techniques. It applies to things like meta tags, to ad units. Context, not only in terms of time, but what type of blog you're running as well as what type of audience you have.

Great article Christian. As an avid reader of Problogger and Darren's other site, Digital Photograghy School, It's easy to try to take some cookie cutter advice and try to apply it to a non-cookie cutter business. That's like trying to run photoshop elements on Windows 7 64 bit... -- can you tell I have an issue? -- it doesn't freakin work and you're going to be disappointed with the results... good post.
