Thanks Christopher. No doubt! Writing an ebook is kind of a no-brainer. So many people don't want to put in the extra work. One of my goals is to get business owners to start looking at their internet marketing and blogging differently, so they can be more productive and effective. Ads, sponsored articles, etc...they're all fine, but it's such a waste to focus on the absolute lowest paying solutions, just because they're a little easier.

Thanks for the article. Very smart. Writing an EBOOK is a great option if you don't want to mess around with adsense.

Sponsored articles is another example of a way to make a small amount of money blogging. Like with advertising, I'm not against it as long as it's relevant to your blog, but it's small money. Even a big hitter like John Chow, who gets crazy traffic to his blog, only gets $400 for a sponsored article. Most people get more like $10-20. If you want to make a few bucks here and there, it's cool, but if it's your goal (like mine always is) to build a substantial business online, sponsored articles should not be your focus.

This obviously applies to other electronic products as well: audio and video. But have you tried writing sponsored articles? What is your take on that?

Thanks Tatyana! Yes, affiliate sales is a great way to get the ball rolling right away. You'll make more money with your own product or service. I am a big advocate of information products. They're cheap and easy to distribute, potentially viral, and they can be highly leveraged. Whereas if you're providing a service, you only have so much time in the day.

Very smart article. You are absolutely right regarding the ads. It is better to sell a product. I prefer the affiliate marketing. If you have a good traffic and choose a right and proven affiliate program, so you are set for a good income :-)
