Good to hear from you Miguel :-) Yes, WP makes it easier to put sites together more quickly. No doubt about it!

There are some really good thoughts here on communication. I have to admit, I use Wordpress as a work-around to coding for websites. It's easier than writing line-for-line in HTML and visually appealing.

What I forget is that Wordpress is blogging software. It's meant to communicate with people. And the point made with social media and leaving comments on blogs and forums is actually communicating with people.

There's no magic pill. You have to work at reaching out to people.

Thanks for that reminder of what's really important, Christian.

Having a stylish website is key in this age, it looks appealing and definitely increases the traffic to a website. The internet has revolutionized businesses. Setting up a blog the wat explained here will definitely improve your business. However, a fancy website alone does not help. You also need to get your name out there and build your reputation. A strong reputation is the backbone for any good business.

I appreciate it Grant. I have kept my use of Headway to it's basics, and they have served me very well so far. I love the ease of it, which is one of the key benefits. A great theme really makes a big difference. You rock!

Ha, thanks Michael. It's great to see you. The Headway theme is the ultimate which is why I talk about it often. Using the post scheduler in wordpress is so awesome. I'm amazed at how few people (in my perception) actually use it. It not only lets you save huge amounts of time, but it also allows you to test things like publish times and days. When you write ahead of the curve, you can schedule posts at, say, 10AM EST for a bit and see how that flies. That's what I'm doing now. Then you can tweak things to see if you get more action at a different time of day.

Right on Betty...yes, simply diving in and being a part of the conversation is what it's all about. It starts off a key component and remains so indefinitely :)

You nailed it Christian. Can't wait to see where you take this topic and go from here. The more of us who are out there screaming about using a blog to market and promote a business, the better. And thank you so much for mentioning both our design company and of course Headway. Great appreciated.

What is even more fun is to see what folks like you have done with Headway and made it your own. Keep up the great work.

I would suggest writing content in advance and set it to auto-publish at intervals so that when you launch your blog you don't have to worry about that side of it while you engage in the all-important networking.

And I second using the Headway theme. :)

Thanks for your advice. I am finding that networking is a key component. Also, I am finding other blog sites that I am able to contribute to and make new friends at the same time.

Thanks Henri. You're right. It's the simple stuff that works! Looking for the shortcuts, in my experience, is just too much work! I like how you mention people behind the scenes. It's one of the things I try to drive home on this blog...it's not always about being a highly visible A-lister. That's one way to run a business, for sure, and there's nothing wrong with doing that. But it's just one of MANY ways. So many people miss the huge opportunities in all the little nooks and crannies :)
