I got a question from a reader the other day about how to use RSS as a promotional tool and to get more traffic for your blog. You can use RSS as a great way to get subscribers and syndicate the content you publish to a number of other sources.
Many of you know about RSS already, but if you have questions about what it is or how to use it, this quick video will show you what I personally do to use RSS to promote my blog. I hope it helps, and I welcome questions

Nice video!
You pointed me out to something that I’d never clicked on before but wondered that other visitors probably click on. That was the RSS button that is in the URL bar of your browser (top right of page)
Currently I try and get all my subscribers going to my feedburner link so I can track how many subscriptions I have. However my link at the top right in the browser bar links to a different link, which isn’t my feedburner link but also displays my RSS feed.
Is there a way to change the browser URL bar RSS link to direct to my feedburner link so my RSS stats in feedburner are correct? There are possibly a few people reading my feed on the link that doesn’t track stats!
Thanks in advance
Btw – love your new display pic on twitter. Have added you to facebook

Hey Sarge, I’m certain you can change where that icon points by editing your blog software. I’ve never messed with it though. May be a good idea. I use Headway, which takes care of this automatically. If you’re using Wordpress, I definitely recommend at least taking a look at Headway!
